FERRIDAY — Memorial services for Willine Haynes, 84, a homemaker of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Comer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.

Ms. Haynes was born April 22, 1931, the daughter of Herbert William and Larise A. Barnett Howard.

She attended The Pentecostals of the Miss Lou.

Ms. Haynes was a kind, loving and generous person — always ready to help someone in need. She will surely be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one child, Michael Haynes; and four brothers and sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, Liz Scroggins and husband, Sonny, of Shreveport, La., Helen Poole and husband, Scotty, of Olla, La., and Peggy Cupsted and husband, Richard, of Vidalia; five grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
