EDDICETON — Services for Ms. Evelyn Jean Mitchell, 78, of Eddiceton, who was called into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at her residence in Eddiceton, will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2015, with the Rev. Bobby Davis and Rev. Mike Morris officiating.
Graveside services will follow in Bunkley Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday at Franklin Funeral Home.
Ms. Mitchell was born March 6, 1937 in Franklin County to Rev. Archie Ezell and Mrs. Myrtle Watson Ezell.
Ms. Mitchell loved her church and spent many hours in dedicated service to her Lord. She loved her vegetable garden and sharing what she raised with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend to many.
Ms. Mitchell is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Grady Ezell and infant Donald Ezell; sister Sue Lewis and grandson, Mitch Mitchell.
Survivors are daughters, Vanessa Walker and husband, Bill, of Meadville, Melissa (Sug) Morone of Eddiceton, Jill Mitchell of Bude, son, Gary Dale Mitchell of Bunkley, sister, Mary Ann Dukes of Alcoa, Tenn., Hilda Whittington and husband, Pete, of Ferriday, brother, Rudy Ezell and wife, Frances, of Meadville, Kenny Ezell and wife, Jackie, of Natchez, eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was also survived by two special companions, Jimmy Dale Mitchell and her dog Precious, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers are Justin Walker, Warren Walker, Will Walker, Robert Morone, Anthony Morone and Josh Huff.
Honorary pallbearers are her members of her church family at Eddiceton Baptist Church.
