FERRIDAY — Services for Coney Burriel Bryan, 91, of Ridgecrest, who died Thursday, July 23, 2015, at the Merit Health Natchez, will be 10 a.m. today at the Pentecostals of the Miss Lou with the Rev. Gary Howington, the Rev. Jeremy Howington and the Rev. James Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Dewey Cemetery in Monterey under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Bryan was born June 17, 1924, in Acme, La., the son of Adolph Bryan and Julia Runnels Bryan.

He was a member of the Pentecostals of the Miss Lou.

Mr. Bryan was an avid fisherman and hunter throughout his lifetime. He retired from International Paper Company after 37 years of service and became a full-time pleasure fisherman and hunter.

Mr. Bryan also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Annie Laura Bryan; three brothers, Julius Bryan, Calvin Bryan and Leslie Bryan; and seven sisters, twin sister, Mattie Murriel Barrett, Verna Lee Smith, Gertie Beaubouef, Vertie Beaubouef, Lillian Terrell, Maudel Flaherty and Estelle Bryan.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Miles Bryan; four sons, Caroyl Bryan and wife, Marlyn, of Boyce, La., Gene Bryan and wife, Violet, of Eugene, Ore., Darrell Bryan and wife, Phyllis, of Aimwell, La., and Doyle Bryan and wife, Bertha, of Vidalia; two daughters, Sherrie Brister and husband, Dan, of Vidalia and Diane Kerrigan and husband, Joey, of Natchez; one stepson, Tony Harper and wife, Stephanie, of Monterey; three stepdaughters, Donna Stringer and Jean Stringer, both of Vidalia, and Alaine Brunson and husband, Delloyd, of Dry Prong, La.; one sister, Sadie Lipsey of Monterey; 27 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chase Bryan, Tristan Weatherly, Jeremy McElwee, Cameron Boyette, Tyler Sandifer, Tony Harper and Everette Harper.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Green, Jerry Lipsey, Lanny Lipsey and Ricky Bryan.
