WINNSBORO — A Franklin Parish football player died after being injured in a Friday night game.

The Times-Picayune reported the player was identified on social media as Tyrell Cameron, a Franklin Parish High School sophomore.

Cameron was wheeled off the field on a stretcher and taken to the hospital after being injured on a punt return in the team’s game against Sterlington.
