BUNKIE, La. — Services for Joseph Bernard Jones, 44, of Bunkie, La., who died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Bunkie with Rusty Hayes officiating.

Burial will follow at the Pythian Cemetery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home in Bunkie.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Jones was a graduate of Ferriday High School and was employed by Union Tank Manufacturing Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt Jones Sr. and Bertha May Cage Jones.

Survivors include his wife to 20 years, Ingrid Barfield Jones; one daughter, Alexis Jada Jones of Bunkie; two sisters, Phronel J. Mays and husband, Freddie, and Ruby J. Moore and husband, Marvin, all of Ferriday; six brothers, Carl Jones and wife, Diane, Sylvester Jones and wife, Glenda, Roosevelt Jones Jr. and wife, Julia, Leroy Jones and wife, Sharon, Calvin Jones and wife, Pamela, and Jeffery Jones, all of Ferriday; and in-laws, Charles and Annette Barfield Allen of Chenyville.

Pallbearers will be Thaddeus Green, Jarvis Deal, Daniel Williams, Oscar Guy, Calvin Carter and Marvin Moore Sr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Jones, Sylvester Jones, Roosevelt Jones Jr., Leroy Jones, Calvin Jones and Jeffery Jones.
