GLOSTER — Services for Dorothy Lee Ashley, 83, of Crosby, who died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. today at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Gloster with the Rev. Bernard Waites officiating.
Burial will follow at the Ashley Family Cemetery near Crosby under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ashley was born March 16, 1932, in Deville, La., the daughter of John Tillman Pecanty and Lena Ruth Beaubouef Pecanty.
She was a licensed practical nurse for more than 25 years and an office manager and co-owner of A&P Oil Field Supply for 28 years.
Mrs. Ashley was a longtime member of Perrytown Church of Christ near Crosby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Edward Gene Ashley and Cage Phillip Ashley; two brothers, Mitchell Pecanty and Huey Pecanty; two sisters, Oma Ruth Sullivan and Peggy Rodgers; and a close family member, Charles Ray Bordelon.
Survivors include her husband, Cage Ashley Jr.; three sons, Thomas Ashley and wife, Jackie, Tim Ashley and wife, Sonia, and Patrick Ashley and wife, Ruth Ann; one daughter-in-law, Diane Ashley; 16 grandchildren, John Michael, James Christopher, Emily, Erin, Eli, Hannah, Kristina, Dawn, Kayla, Diana, Alyssa, Cage, Phillip, Nathan, Andrew and Jessica; eight great-grandchildren; one unborn great-grandchild; one brother, Alton Pecanty and wife, Betty; one sister, Shirley Cliburn and husband, Billy; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Ashley, Nathan Ashley, Andrew Ashley, Eli Ashley, John Michael Ashley and Cage Ashley.
