NATCHEZ — Services for Allen Bernard Coley, 80, of Natchez, who died Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at Baton Rouge General Hospital in Baton Rouge, were 2 p.m. Monday at Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.
Burial followed at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Coley was born Aug. 22, 1935, in Natchez, the son of Allen L. Coley and Eva Mae Coley.
He retired after a number of years of service with International Paper Company and the Mississippi National Guard. He also enjoyed his small business “B & D Hay and Cattle Business.”
Mr. Coley cherished the times he spent with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Flora Mae Nelson.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Bonner Coley; two sons, Allen B. Coley Jr. and James O. Coley, both of Natchez; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vivian Webb and Mary Brumfield, both of Natchez; one brother, William Coley of Natchez; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Tommy Briethaupt, James Allen Coley, Kevin Coley, Ted Bonner, Tylar Duffy and Rickey Nelson.
