PORT GIBSON — Services for Derrick Jermaine Rowan, 25, of Port Gibson, who died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, in Greenville, will be noon Saturday at the New Come and See Baptist Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Eric Cooley officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ingleside City Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home in Natchez.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Rowan was born Jan. 7, 1990, in Vicksburg, the son of Cyril Rowan and Jacqueline Walls Berry.

He was a 2008 graduate of Port Gibson High School.

Derrick enjoyed football.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Inez Walls, John Thomas and Feddie Brandon; great-grandmother, Ruth Robinson; and one brother, James Rowan.

Survivors include his parents; one brother, Dontrell Rowan; three sisters, Angela Moore and husband, Derrick, Ariana Rowan and Markessia Rowan; grandmother, Carolyn Rowan, all of Port Gibson; and other relatives and friends.
