WATERPROOF — Services for Ernest Standberry, 70, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at Grace Home in Alexandria, La., will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Cypress Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof with the Rev. Gerald Williams officiating.

Burial will follow at the Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Standberry was born Oct. 25, 1944, in Waterproof, the son of Clarence and Rosetta McGraw Standberry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Jones and Lillie Standberry; and two brothers, Clarence Standberry and Eugene Standberry.

Survivors include one son, Damian Campbell of Kansas City; two brothers, Harold and Johnny Standberry; three sisters, Effie Phillips, Martha Hunter and Blanche Bradford, all of Houston; three grandchildren; one aunt, Ollie Moore of Waterproof; his wife, Thelma Stevenson of Waterproof; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
