William and Clemie Billups of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Marla Billups to Lanny Vaulx Jr., son of Angeline Vaulx and the late Lanny Vaulx Sr. of Memphis, Tenn.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School, Mississippi State University and the University of Memphis. She is employed by Methodist Hospital-Germantown.

She is the granddaughter of the late Tommy and Mary English of Memphis and the late William and Paige Ellis Billups of Chicago.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Hillcrest High School and a graduate of Tennessee State University. He is employed by Parkwood Behavioral Health System.

He is the grandson of Lillie Owens and the late Cleophus Owens and the late Marshall and Nellie Jo Vaulx, all of Memphis.

The wedding will be 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at the Cadre in downtown Memphis.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
