FROGMORE — Services for Karl Nix, 58, of Sicily Island, who died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at Riverland Medical Center, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church in Frogmore with the Rev. Ron Walters officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Nix was born July 30, 1957, in Ferriday, the son of Prince Reed Sr. and Annie Nix.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one daughter, LaToya Guity of Orange, Texas; two brothers, Prince Nix of Orange and Charles Nix of Galveston, Texas; two sisters, Betty Carter and Virginia Cotton of Orange; one uncle, Roger Nix of Fayette; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
