NATCHEZ — A motorcyclist was killed Monday morning after he was involved in a collision with a truck apparently driving on the wrong side of the highway.

The collision, which happened at approximately 6 a.m. Monday, was on U.S. 61 North near its intersection with U.S. 84, an Adams County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson reported.

The driver of the motorcycle, Eric Jerome Fuller, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fuller was traveling northbound on U.S. 61 North when the motorcycle and truck collided. The truck was driving southbound but was on the northbound side of U.S. 61, the ACSO spokesperson said.

The two people in the truck, who have not been publicly identified, were transported to Merit Health Natchez.

The incident remains under investigation.
