WINNSBORO, La. — Services for W.C. “Pete” Haring Sr., 89, of Wisner, La., who died Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Holly Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Acoin and the Rev. Scott Phillips officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Haring was born May 24, 1926, in Belzoni, the son of James Preston and Grace McGehee Haring.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John Haring, Harvey Haring and Frank Haring; three sisters, Mary Alice Glison, Patsy Cooper and Deloris Gaddis; and one grandson, Hunter Haring.

Survivors include three children, Ellen Haring of Sicily Island, Carl Haring Jr. and wife, Holly, and Sam Haring and wife, Amy, all of Wisner; eight grandchildren, Tyson Payne, Dawn Payne, Kelly Haring, Hannah Sharp, Maddie Haring, Brandon Haring, Andea Haring and Ashley Haring; nine great-grandchildren, Cameron Easterling, Isaac Sharp, Liam Sharp, Snow Sharp, Braden Haring, Austin Haring, Ella Grace Haring, Mia Haring and Kallan Haring; one brother, Tommy Haring and wife, Vickie, of Fort Necessity, La.; and one sister, Jean Waid of Wisner.

Pallbearers to honor his memory will be Tyson Payne, Brandon Haring, Ashley Haring, Jonathon Sharp, Russell Roberts and John Haring.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Hawkins, Dewayne Dudney, Frank Haring, Ed Thomas, Buddy Peters and Ron Jenkins.
