VIDALIA — Services for Mary Eliza Saul Scott, 90, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Vidalia, with the Rev. Jarrod Bottley officiating.

Burial will be Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Scott was born Sept. 19, 1925, in Vidalia, the daughter of Dan and Charlotte Wallace Saul.

She was a retired cook and childcare giver. She was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and served on the usher board and the mother board. She was also a member of the Lady’s Relief Corp in Vidalia.

Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessie Scott; one son, Don Scott; two brothers, Louis and Elijah Saul; and two sisters, Stella Davis Barksdale and Charlotte Young.

Survivors include five daughters, Delores Bell, Shirley Trust Bowman, Alma Jean Bowman and husband, Leonard, Madeline Scott, Henrietta Ryan and husband, Carl; one stepdaughter, Rhoda Whitley; one sister, Beatrice Saul, all of Vidalia; daughter-in-law, Sandra Scott of Jonesville; brother-in-law, Randy Young of Vidalia; special friend, Clara Randall of Seattle; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
