NATCHEZ — Graveside services for John “Shannon” Pearson, 51, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, in Ferriday, will be 11:30 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Natchez with the Rev. Clyde Ray Webber officiating under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Pearson was born Jan. 7, 1964, in Newellton, and was the son of John Stanton Pearson Sr. and Tookie Fife.
He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents Ralph and Elizabeth Pearson; and maternal grandparents, Bob and Fay Fife.
Survivors include one son, Austin Tadgerson of Michigan, and one daughter, Taylor Paul of Ferriday; his mother; three brothers, Michaux Pearson of Newellton, Robert Pearson and wife, Alina, of St. Joseph, and Stanton Pearson Jr. of New Orleans; one sister, Shan Pearson of Crowville; eight nieces and nephews, Whitney Pearson, Hagan Landry, Drake Pearson, Emily Pearson, Brennan Landry, Chase Pearson, Buddy Butler and Sarah McKenna; and a brother at heart, Patrick McKenna.
Pallbearers will be Sidney Plaisance, Patrick McKenna, Casey Quimby, Jeffery Ross, Larry Mize, John Parker and Darrell Head.
Monty “Squirrel” Thornton will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
