FERRIDAY — Services for Arthur Wayne “Pat” James, 84, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, will be 10 a.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Vidalia with the Rev. Bill McCullin officiating.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. James was born Nov. 9, 1931, in Selma, Ala., the son of Lewis and Katherine James.

He worked as a switchman for Natchez and Southern Railroad. He was also an insurance salesman for a number of years before retiring.

Mr. James proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Martha Joyce James; cousins, Sandra Custer of Pioneer, La., and Fordie Cook of Mer Rouge, La.; and two nephews, Paul A. Bush and Terry L. Bush of Bonner Springs, Kan.
