NATCHEZ — Services for Joyce Marie Smith Brown, 71, of Natchez, who died Friday, Dec. 25, 2015, at Glenburney Nursing Home, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grove African Methodists Episcopal Church with the Rev. James Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brown was the daughter of Albert and Harriett Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Brown; and one sister, Maxine Smith Lyles.

Survivors include her siblings, Barbara Winston and E.J. Conner and wife, Brenda; Connie Merrick and her family; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
