NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Bennie Bell Jr., 83, of Clarksville, Tenn., who died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Natchez funeral home chapel and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Bell was born Nov. 6, 1932, in Natchez, the son of Bennie and Matteal Patterson Bell Sr.
Mr. Bell was a decorated soldier having served faithfully in the U.S. Army for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, D-Ella Singleton Bell; three sons, Malcolm Bell of Ft. Stevens, Wash., Calvin Bell of Springfield, Ill. and Henry Aaron Bell of Hazelcrest, Ill.; five brothers, William and Roy Bell, both of Natchez, Frank Bell of San Antonio, Texas, Warner Bell of Philadelphia and John Mark Bell of Ft. Worth, Texas; three sisters, Virginia Cook of Upper Marlboro, Md., Julia Bell of Philadelphia and Matteal Beamer of Natchez; four grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
