NATCHEZ — Services for David Joe Carman Sr., 65, of Roxie, who died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center, in Baton Rouge, will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Theresa Hancock officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Carman was born March 1, 1950, the son of Alfred Carman and Fownie K. Carman.

He worked most of his life as a tool pusher on an oil rig.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Case Carman; five sons, David J. Carman Jr., Robert A. Carman, Bobby Polk, Harley Polk and David Polk; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Ann Jones and husband, Frank Jones; one brother, Gabriel A. Carman Sr.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Johnson, Frank Jones, Paul Carter, Quran Morris, Devin Carter and Robbie Buckles.
