FERRIDAY — Services for Lucinda Holmes Morris, 97, of Ferriday, formerly of New Orleans, who died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Paul Kunnumpuram officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Morris was born Jan. 4, 1919, in New Orleans, the daughter of Hamp and Alberta Holmes.

She was a retired school teacher.

Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James W. Morris; and one daughter, Alice Morris.

Survivors include a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
