TUCSON, Ariz. — Memorial services for John D. “Spanky” Nichols, 70, who died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, after a short illness in Tucson, Ariz., will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Evergreen Mortuary, Cemetery & Crematory in Tucson.
Mr. Nichols was born Nov. 4, 1946, in Winter Haven, Fla., the son of John F. Nichols and Francis Rye Nichols and grew up in Natchez.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Deanna Nichols; two daughters, Julaina Carrigan and husband, Michael, and their son, Garrison, all of Virginia and Patricia Brink and husband, Eric, and their son, Lance, all of Alaska; two sisters, Vicki Nichols Nosser and her husband of Natchez and Rebecca Nichols Harrist of Tennessee; and a number of nieces and nephews.
