FERRIDAY — Services for Nehesi LaPharaohs of Baton Rouge, who died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Beulah Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time Saturday at Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. LaPharaohs was born Jan. 19, 1937, in Marrow, La., the son of Louis and Lillian Crocket Jenkins.
He was a retired butcher.
Mr. LaPharaohs was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, W.C. Jenkins, Louis Jenkins Jr., Eula Mae Jenkins Dunbar and Magdalene Jenkins; mother-in-law, Lillian Collier; father-in-law, Walker Brown Sr.; two brothers-in-law, Terry and Walter Brown Jr.; one sister-in-law, Sue Jenkins; one granddaughter, Tiara LaPharaohs; one nephew, Fred Dunbar; three nieces, Darlene Jenkins, Marshalette Dunbar Britton and Debra Dunbar Ohuonu; and his first wife, Evelyn Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Brown LaPharaohs; five sons, James Jenkins of Los Angeles, Nehesi Lee LaPharaohs and wife, Victoria, of Central, La., NecobáLe LaPharaohs and Marcus Craig of Baton Rouge and Brandon LaPharaohs of Bogulousa, La.; three daughters, Sherita Jenkins of Baton Rouge, Windalyn Moses and husband, Darren, of Zachary, La., and Naquita Ramirez and husband, Vincente, of Baker, La.; three brothers, Clyde Jenkins of Los Angeles, Joseph Jenkins of Royal, Ark., and Henry Jenkins and wife, Brenda, of Merced, Calif.; one sister, Flora Jenkins of Los Angeles; 21 grandchildren; and one godchild, Teresa Marshall.
