NATCHEZ — Services for Elmore “Blues Man” Williams Jr., 83, of Harvey, La., who died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, in Harvey, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Daughters of Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Micheal Hoggatt officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service Tuesday at the church in Natchez.
Mr. Williams was a member of the Chitlin Blues Circuit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmore Williams Sr. and Lizzie Dromgoole Williams; his wife, Fannie Lea Pollard Williams; son Brian Keith Williams; one granddaughter, TaJuanda Sly; one grandson Jatari Clark; one sister, Claudia Williams Quinn; one brother, Percy Williams; and one daughter-in-law, Charlene Williams.
Survivors include three sons, Marion Earl Pollard of Natchez, Elmore Williams III and wife, Jeanette, of Natchez and Rodney Williams of Destrehan, La.; seven daughters, Connie Sly and husband, King Sr., of Harvey, Margaret Clark and husband, Edward, of Jackson, Dana Stewman and husband, Eric Sr., of Natchez, Lana Woods and husband, Roy, of Natchez, Sheila Rogers and husband, Steven, of Harvey; Sharon Williams of Hattiesburg and Yvonne M. Putney of Virginia; one sister Mary “Wease” Morris of Natchez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
