FERRIDAY — Services for George Hudnall Sr., 89, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, La., will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Beulah Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Eugene Williams officiating.
Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Hudnall was born April 29, 1926, on Lake St. John in Ferriday, the son of William and Lena Brooks.
He was a retired brick mason.
Mr. Hudnall served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
He was preceded in death by one son, George Hudnall Jr.; his parents; two brothers, James and Lewis Hudnall; and one sister, Lydia “Lottie” Lloyd.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Dorothy L. Freeman of Irving, Texas; seven daughters, Lena Lee and husband, Will, of Monroe, La., Cheryl Freeman of Vidalia, Karen Harbor and husband, Dan, of LaPlace, La., Tracey Wilson and husband, Ron, of South Prince George, Va., Kelly Caldwell of Irving and Shannon Hudnall of Ferriday and Angela Levington and husband, Keith, of Lewisville, Texas; one son, Shea Hudnall of Ferriday; two nieces, Kim King and husband, Joe, of Ferriday and Alexis Redmond and husband, LaBron, of Chicago; two nephews, Thomas Hudnall of Florida and Charles “Little Boy” Hudnall of Los Angeles; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; his best friend, Eddie Tolliver; and goddaughter, Emma Skipper, both of Ferriday.
