GLOSTER — Services for Carmen H. Poole, 86, a native of Crosby and longtime resident of Natchez, who died Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Magnolia House in Natchez, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Gloster with the Rev. Walthan Jones officiating.

Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Poole was born Jan. 31, 1930, in Stevensville, now Crosby, the daughter of Leslie and Rosa Bass Havard.

She was a 1947 graduate of Carr High School in Vicksburg. She married Calvin Phillip Poole in 1947 and moved to Natchez.

Mrs. Poole was a homemaker, a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Natchez and the Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Survivors include one son, Calvin Phillip Poole Jr. and wife, Penny; one daughter, Rosa Josephine Poole; three grandsons, Calvin Philip Poole III and wife, Anna Katherin, Hunter Daniel Poole and wife, Kaylie, and Joseph Hillary Poole; and one great-grandchild, Calvin Phillip Poole IV.

Pallbearers will be Calvin Phillip Poole III, Hunter Daniel Poole, Joseph Hillary Poole, Darwin Huff, Watkins Buckley and David Dickerson.
