FERRIDAY — Services for Jonathan Joseph Gauthier, 21, of Alexandria, La., formerly of Vidalia, who died Friday, March 11, 2016, in Alexandria, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Danny Reed officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Gauthier was born Nov. 15, 1994, in Natchez, the son of Nathan Gauthier and Linda Sue Bourgeois.

He was a 2013 graduate of Vidalia High School.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Nathan Gauthier Sr., and maternal grandfather, Carlton Merritt.

Survivors include his mother and her husband, J.P. Bourgeois, of Vidalia; his father and his wife, Stephanie, of Natchez; one brother, Jacob Bourgeois of Vidalia; two sisters, Hope Turner of Vidalia and Melinda Gauthier of Natchez; paternal grandmother, Linda Nettles of Winnsboro, La.; and maternal grandmother, Nezzie Merritt of Vicksburg.

Pallbearers will be Casey Floyd Jr., Michael Strickland, Shane Merritt, Buddy Merritt, Dakota Merritt and Chris McCurdy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Bryan, Alvin Theriot, Cameron Nugent and Cody Theriot.
