NHS falls short in tennis

BROOKHAVEN — Natchez High School tennis was a match away from beating district rival Brookhaven High School.

Brookhaven won 4-3 at home Tuesday night.

Natchez duo Kirdis Clark and Danyel Weir defeated Alice Anne Walker and Lea Allen of Brookhaven in a tiebreaker game, 6-2, 3-6, 1-0.

With their backs against the wall, Natchez boys doubles pair Terrace Bindon and Vincent Bonds won in another tiebreaker game, 6-4, 5-7, 1-0.

Natchez mixed doubles pair Baliey Butler and Jaylen Grennell won 6-2, 6-1.
