VIDALIA — A Natchez man has been arrested after an incident in which a woman and two children were struck by a vehicle.
Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Vernon Stevens said deputies received a call at approximately 7 p.m. that a woman and two children — ages 4 and 8 — had been struck by a truck while walking along the road in the area of North Grove Drive.
The woman, Crystal Cupit, 26, of Vidalia, and the 4-year-old were transported to Riverland Medical Center following the incident, Stevens said.
The 8-year-old was taken to Merit Health Natchez at the time with moderate injuries.
The Louisiana State Police investigated the incident.
The driver of a 2002 Dodge pickup, Kenneth Dees of Natchez, 52, was charged with no driver’s license and DWI following the collision.
A second man, Anthony Cupit of Vidalia, was also cited for stopping in the roadway, Moreau said.
The LSP spokesman said he did not know the details of what let to the collision at this time.
