BEEKMAN, La. — Delta Charter School rode a seven-inning shutout from Jania Burns to beat Beekman Charter School 8-0 Thursday night.

Burns recorded four strikeouts and held Beekman to three hits in the game.

The game was scoreless through three innings before Delta Charter broke the tie in the fourth. The Lady Storm raddled off four straight innings of insurance runs on eight hits to earn the win.

Kaitlin Dooley and Lanken Hood were 2-for-4 for the Lady Storm. Hood and Haley Sharp both tallied doubles for Delta Charter.

Darby Beach and Bailey Yates hit 1-for-4 and Emily Mason hit 1-for-2.

The Lady Storm improved to 10-7 overall and 3-1 in district play.

Delta Charter is scheduled to play in a tournament at Mangham High School today.
