Weekend ticket: Tournaments, auto show top weekend

NATCHEZ — Spring is here, and Natchez is hopping.
This weekend is expected to be sunny and beautiful, with highs in the 70s and chance of precipitation below 10 percent.
Tennis and golf tournaments
The Natchez-Adams Chamber of Commerce will host tennis and golf tournaments Friday at Duncan Park.
Spots are still available to compete in the tennis tournament. Registration costs $30 and is available through the chamber at 601-445-4611. Admission for spectators is free.
The day’s activities will begin with 10 a.m. registration/play for tennis and 11 a.m. registration for golfers, lunch at 11:30 a.m. and golfers will start play at 1 p.m.
A ball drop is scheduled for 6 p.m. Golf balls can be purchased for $20. A helicopter will drop all purchased golf balls, and the owner of the one that goes into the hole will win half of the money made from the ball sales.
Proceeds support Chamber of Commerce activities.
Afternoon tea at D’Evereux
Jenna Aldridge invites the public into her historic house, D’Evereux, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
Enjoy delicious teacakes, sandwiches and scones while she gives a personalized presentation of the architecture, history and grounds of D’Evereux.

The Euro Fest Auto & Motorcycle Show
An expansive car and motorcycle show is scheduled to open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Rosalie Bicentennial Garden.
The event will showcase antique European cars, bikes, and even airplanes, which will fly overhead at 4 p.m.
Admission is free.
