VIDALIA —Services for Jerry Allen “Boudreaux” Stowers, 66, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, April 7, 2016, at VA Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mr. Stowers was born November 5, 1949 in Plaquemine, La., the son of John Hunter Stowers and Shirley Kibodeaux Stowers. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church. He was also a member of the VFW, where he formerly served as District Commander and State Chaplain.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Roger Wayne Stowers.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie R. Stowers of Vidalia; mother, Shirley Kibodeaux Roy of Pineville; two daughters, Kristi White and her husband, Barry, of Arlington, Texas; Alicia Havard and her husband, David, of Natchez; two grandsons, Parker James White and Landon Hunt Havard; and one brother, Benji Stowers and his wife Dusti of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be Steve Weeks, Bubba Crofford, Jeff Ferguson, Randy Hoggatt, James Bradford, and Whest Shirley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Shirley, Donnie Verucchi, James Wilkinson, Mark Dillon, the VFW and the McDonald’s Breakfast Gang.
