NATCHEZ — Services for Larry Harris, 62, of Natchez, who died Sunday, May 8, 2016, in Natchez, will be noon Saturday at George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel at West Gate Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 5:45 p.m., with a celebration of life wake service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Visitation will continue from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Harris was born Jan. 5, 1954, in Natchez, the son of Johnnie “Mane” Reynolds and Agnes Watson Harris.
He was educated in the Natchez public school system. He was employed by R.H. Donnelly in Chicago and the Taste of Chicago.
Larry enjoyed fishing, watching old westerns and wrestling.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Cleotha Reynolds and Delores Prater; two brothers, Melvin Harris and Johnnie Reynolds Jr.; maternal grandparents, Ike and Josephine Watson; paternal grandparents, Elijah Reynolds and Mary Forbes Reynolds; and one nephew, Edwin Jerell Harris.
Survivors include one daughter, Latrice Harris; five brothers, Nelson Harris, Robbin Harris, Walter Reynolds and wife, Claudia, Jimmie Walton and Clarence Reynolds; nine sisters, Rose Durrell, Carolyn Harris, Etta Douglas and husband, Herman, of Chicago, Ellen Earls and husband, Thomas, Elizabeth Vance Harris, Roslyn Harris, Annette Seiferth and husband, Jesse, Barbara Scott and husband, Tom, all of Natchez, and Mabel Rose Otis of Meridian; special companion, Deedra Madison; five aunts, Rosa Lewis, Mable King, Julia Watson, Betty Dixon and Stella Miller; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
