FAYETTE — Services for Lucinda “Madear” Perkins Gales, 95, of Fayette, who died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hollywood Baptist Church in Fayette with the Rev. Percy Herrington officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Gales was born Oct. 1, 1920, in Fayette, the daughter of Monroe and Easter Bates Perkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Gales.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Gales and wife, Stella, and Franklin Gales; two daughters, Angela Hampton and husband, Ronnie, and Mary Gales and companion, James Phipps; and a number of other relatives and friends.
