BROOKHAVEN — Services for Wesley Leroy “Dub” Nations, 81, who died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Lawrence County Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Fair River Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday, both at the church.

Mr. Nations was born Feb. 12, 1935, at his home in Fair Oaks Springs, the son of Luther Leroy Nations and Lema McGraw Nations.

He was a member of Fair River Baptist Church where he served as a song director, deacon and on-the-grounds crew. He was retired from Fidelity Tire Company as a supervisor.

His love of life was his Savior, his family, his church and his garden.

Mr. Nations was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Bettye Butler; two brothers, Dwitt Nations and Bobby Nations; and one great-grandson, James Wesley Waycaster Jr.

Survivors include his wife of more than 62 years, Johnnye Foster Nations; two daughters, Deborah Boone and husband, Jack, and Kathy Waycaster and husband, Jimmy; one brother, Ken Nations and wife, Brenda; one sister, Elaine Johnson and husband, Joe; five grandchildren, Wesley Waycaster and wife, LeWaire, Jeffrey Waycaster and wife, Mary Camille, Suzi Zeman, Miranda Lee and husband, Jake, and Lori Ross and husband, Alan; and 10 great-grandchildren, Matti Hamlin Waycaster, Russ Waycaster, Sam Nations Waycaster, Nathan Bassett, Alyssa Bassett, Mathew Lee, Hannah Lee, Joshua Lee, Elijah Lee and Jeremiah Lee.

Memorials may be made to Fair River Baptist Church.
