FERRIDAY — Services for Clarence “Bubba” Singleton, 84, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, May 29, 2016, at his residence, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday.

Burial will follow with military honors, beside his wife, Rosemary Green Singleton, at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Singleton was born in Vidalia, the son of Henry and Mary Williams Singleton.

He was a retired building inspector for Orange County, Calif. He also served on the Concordia Parish Police Jury from 1993 to 1995.

Mr. Singleton attended the Church of Christ. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1955, earning an honorable discharge from the military.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, James “Curly Boy” Singleton and Louis Anthony Sanford; two sisters, Danice White and Charlotte Drew; and one grandson, Roddrick Singleton.

Survivors include one daughter, Renda Singleton; one sister, Alice Nolden; one great-grandson, Rachard Singleton, all of Vidalia; and a number of other relatives and friends.
