NATCHEZ — The Adams County Board of Supervisors accepted Monday the resignation of District 4 Election Commissioner Katye Dukes

First elected in September 1979, Dukes has been an election commissioner for nearly 37 years.

“I am proud to say that I walked in (the election commission office) in 1979 with a sound mind and I am going to finish with a sound mind,” Dukes said.
