Mr. and Mrs. William Mitchell Ashmore Jr. of Ferriday announce the engagement of their daughter, Mollye Brown Ashmore to Dominic Paul Dupré, son of Mr. and Mrs. Coty Reginald Dupré Jr. of Opelousas, La.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Huntington School in Ferriday and a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She is employed as a legal assistant in Lafayette, La.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chester J. Schiele of Ferriday, Mrs. Wilton Johnson of Natchez and the late Mr. Johnson and the late Mr. William Mitchell Ashmore.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Westminster Christian Academy in Opelousas and a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He is employed by Dupré Logistics in Houston.

He is the grandson of Ms. Freida B. Mayeux of Opelousas and Mr. and Mrs. Coty Reginald Dupré Sr. of Lafayette.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at IL Mercato in New Orleans.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
