WOODVILLE — Services for Ernestine Lona Wesberry Geter, 76, of Woodville, who died Sunday, June 26, 2016, at her residence, will be 2 p.m. today at Pioneer Baptist Church in Woodville with the Rev. Bernard Waites, the Rev. Warren Whitaker and the Rev. Kevin Dixon officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Geter was born June 4, 1940, in Monroe, La., the daughter of Lona Jester Rodgers and Ernest Wesberry.

She worked in the cafeteria at Wilkinson County Christian Academy. She was also a member of Pioneer Baptist Church.

Mrs. Geter was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Geter; her parents; stepfather, William “Bud” Rodgers; three brothers, Glen Wesberry, Milton Wesberry and Ruben Wesberry; one sister, Edna Mae Davidson; and one great-granddaughter, Raven Murray.

Survivors include four daughters Yvonne Yarbrough and husband, Marion, Toni Pritchard and husband, Eugene Pritchard Jr., Mary Wilson and husband, Tim, all of Woodville, and June Smith and fiancé, Zane Emfinger, of Ferriday; one son, David Geter and wife, Jackie, of Natchez; three sisters, Ola Enis and Ruth Vines of Woodville and Sarah Johnson of Branson, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Neal Murray, Ed Walker, Joseph Geter, Cory Geter, Timmy Wilson, Jordan Smith and Kaleb Smith.
