MEADVILLE — Services for Mary Elizabeth “Sister” Lehmann, 91, who died Monday, June 27, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville with the Rev. Milton Whatley officiating.

Burial will follow at Greendale United Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lehmann was born Dec. 29, 1924, the daughter of E.M. Laird and Mary Elizabeth Laird.

“Sister” was a lifelong homemaker and faithful wife to her husband of 72 years, Carl Ray Lehmann. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved cooking, shopping, swimming and spending time with her family. She was an excellent marksman and loved animals. She especially loved her dog, Missy.

She was known as a proven handyman, capable of tackling any challenge presented to her.

Mrs. Lehmann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Sherry Peeples; one grandson, Jamie Webb; and one great-grandchild, Maxie Webb.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Hall and husband, Malcolm, and Carla McLemore; one son, Len Lehmann and wife, Angie; and a number of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Daron Webb, Casey Novak, Justin Martin, Yancey Lehmann, Austin Weeks, Max Knapp and Ryan Webb.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Freeman, Ike Hall, William David “Clutch” Aldridge, John Daniels and Adrian McCaa.

The family requests donations be made to Greendale United Methodist Church, 11528 McNair Road, N.W., Roxie, MS 39661.
