NATCHEZ — Services for Grover “Bradley” Harrison, 59, who died peacefully at his residence in Natchez surrounded by a loving family, will be 2 p.m. today at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Harrison was born Nov. 9, 1956, in Natchez, the son of James Grover Harrison and Sarah Webster Harrison.
He was raised in Ferriday and graduated from Huntington High School in 1973. He was also a 1978 graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a degree in finance. While at LSU, he was an active member of the Gamma Iota Chapter of Sigma Chi. After college, he worked in the finance industry for more than 35 years.
On Aug. 23, 1997, he married Genevieve Wrape and they lived in Baton Rouge until 2006, when they moved “home” to Natchez.
Bradley was past president of the Natchez Children’s Home Services, the United Way of the Miss-Lou, the Miss-Lou LSU Alumni Association, served on the Natchez Preservation Commission, a Sigma Chi alum adviser, a member of the Natchez Rotary Club, a member of the Santa Claus Committee for 39 years and served as Santa Claus in 2007. He was also a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Mr. Harrison was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Strong Webster Harrison.
Survivors include his loving wife, Genny; one daughter, Sarah Christian “Christi” Harrison; and his cousins in the Windham, Trewolla and Harrison families; and a number of friends.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Westmoreland, Davie Eidt, Gil Jackson, Billy Ulmer, Mike Kimble, Mitch Kimble, Chuck Heine and Bill Wrape.
Honorary pallbearers will be the “Monday Night Football Crew,” Terry Trovato, Bob Sizemore, Bob Adams, Tom Taylor, Mike Gemmell and Joey Gunning and Andy Anders, Dean Mailhes, Steve Liddell and Mike Pico.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Kirk Mullins, Dr. Ray Corona, Shirley Johnson and Hospice Compassus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Natchez Children’s Home Services, Cathedral School or to a charity of choice.
