NATCHEZ — Services for Charles Albert Stump Sr., 76, of Natchez, who died Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George M. Guy and the Rev. A.B. Masters officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Stump was born Feb. 25, 1940, in Vidalia, the son of Fay and Lucy Sawyer Stump.

He was retired from the Natchez Police Department and served for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Stump of Natchez; one son, Chuck Stump Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Windham, N.H.; three granddaughters, Lauren Stump of North Andover, Mass., Laura Frezza of Derry, N.H., and Cheryl Frezza of Salem, N.H.; two sisters, Geneva Masters and Marie Clotfelter, both of Columbia, La.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.
