FOULES — Funeral services for Oliver Francis Brandenburg, Jr., 68 of Sicily Island, who died Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Merit Health Natchez, will be noon Tuesday at Sunnyside Church with the Revs. Jerry Sharp Jr. and Tim Parker officiating.

Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Tueday at the church.

Oliver Francis Brandenburg, Jr. was born on Saturday, Oct. 25, 1947 in Fort Adams. He was a resident of Sicily Island and was the chief of Leland Fire Department for several years. Oliver also loved the outdoors, especilaly fishing.

He was preceded in death by his son, Oliver “Nicky” L. Brandenburg; his parents, Oliver F. Brandenburg and Audrey Elaine Corley; a sister, Audrey Ann Stewart; and two brothers, Benny Roy Brandenburg and Charles Edwards Brandenburg.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Vivian Rose Foster Brandenburg of Sicily Island; one son, Mark Brandenburg and wife Tina of Sicily Island; one daughter, Stacy Brandenburg Bordelon and husband Willie of Sicily Island; one brother, William H. Brandenburg and wife Virginia of Vidalia; one sister, Mary Lee Curry and husband Jerry of Ferriday; a daughter-in-law, Wendy Brandenburg; special family friend Joe Coughran; nine grandchildren, Nicholas Brandenburg, Libby Brandenburg, Tara Brandenburg, Natalie Brandenburg, David Coughran, Morgan Coughran, Wesley Coughran, Cody Bordelon, and Katlynn Bordelon, and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Kenny, Joe Coughran, Brandon Covington, Jason Mendoza, Timmy Mendoza, Cole Goodwin, Cody Goodwn, and Jerel Evans.

Honorary Pallbearers are Leland Volunteer Fire Department.
