NATCHEZ — Services for Earcine “Shorty” Morgan, 79, of Natchez, who died Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Milford Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Johnson officiating. 

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Natchez chapel and from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Ms. Morgan was born Feb. 17, 1937, in Natchez, the daughter of Emanuel Morgan and Jessie Anderson Morgan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Mildred Morgan.

Survivors include three daughters, Eloise Morgan of Brookhaven, Dorothy Morgan of Natchez and Alice Jackson and husband, Earnest, of Baton Rouge; two sons, Dennis Morgan and wife, Mildred, of Natchez, and Ray Morgan of Tampa; five sisters, Mary Carter and husband, James, Jessie Rice, Marguerite Smith, Susie Daniels and Flora Robinson; five brothers, Johnny Morgan and wife, Virginia, Emanuel Morgan Jr. and wife, Elvira, Robert Morgan and wife, Linda, Terry Gooden and companion, Dora King, and James Hill; six grandchildren, Derrick Jackson, Dennis Jackson, Denise Thomas and husband, Tyrone, Decervassiah Morgan, Felton Morgan and Precious Morgan; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
