NATCHEZ — The Mississippi River Commission will host a public meeting Wednesday aboard the motor vessel Mississippi in Natchez.

The vessel will dock at the boat ramp on Silver Street in Natchez, and the meeting is set for 2 p.m.

The meeting’s agenda includes a summary report by the commission’s president on national and regional issues affecting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and commission programs and projects on the Mississippi River and its tributaries.

The meeting will also include the district commander’s overview for the commission on current project issues in the area.

Presentations to the commission by the public are also welcome during the meeting.
