NATCHEZ — Services for Burnett “Bunny Rabbit” Bridgewater, 62, of Natchez, who died Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin L. White officiating. 

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Bridgewater was born Dec. 18, 1953, in Natchez, the son of Clarence Bridgewater Sr. and Bessie Mae Montgomery Bridgewater.

He was a 1974 graduate of North Natchez High School.

Mr. Bridgewater was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Delores Bridgewater; three brothers, Clarence Bridgewater Jr., Grover Bridgewater and Nolan Bridgewater; and one nephew, Nolan Smith.

Survivors include four sisters, Gladys N. Minor and husband, Charles, Bessie Johnson and husband, Jimmie, and Felicia B. Irving, all of Natchez, and Mary Kearney of Rocky Mount, N.C.; one brother, Gary Bridgewater of Pascagoula; one sister-in-law, Kim M. Bridgewater; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
