Five separate Adams County Christian School soccer players blasted scores to help lead the Lady Rebels past Discovery Christian 9-0 in girls MAIS soccer action Wednesday.

“Today may have been the first day that we came together as a team,” ACCS coach Jim Bob Allgood said. “We had everybody available with the exception of one injury, but the rest of my girls clicked. It was a beautiful sight to see.”

Bailey Boyd led ACCS (5-1) with four scores and Kayla McNutt added two more. Emily Williams, Madison New and Kaci Guedon each chipped in with a score.

The Lady Rebels led at halftime 5-0 and cruised to the shutout win.

“Being able to have the whole squad makes a difference in how good this team can play,” Allgood said.

Goalie Morgan Blanton helped keep Discovery Christian off the scoreboard with nine saves.

“We were very aggressive defense, and that made for many opportunities on offense,” Allgood said.

ACCS will be back in action Sept. 12 when it faces rival Cathedral High School.
