Rileigh Allen allowed just five hits in a complete-game performance as the Centreville Academy Lady Tigers defeated the Central Private School Lady Rebels 12-3 Tuesday afternoon in an MAIS District 5-AAA game.
Allen’s teammates gave her plenty of early run support as Centreville scored three runs in the top of the first inning, and three more in the top of the third to build a 7-1 lead.
Macey Miley had a double and a triple while Madison Dawson went 2-for-3 and stole three bases.
Centreville Academy (5-8, 3-3) next plays on Saturday at the Brookhaven Academy Tournament.
Amite School Center 17, WCCA 0
The Wilkinson County Christian Academy Lady Rams remained winless on the season after falling to the Amite School Center Lady Rebels 17-0 in three innings Monday.
“We had quite a few walks. We didn’t have too many errors, but they hammered the ball,” WCCA coach Jesse Toney said.
WCCA (0-8, 0-8) plays at 5:15 p.m. next Monday when it hosts Franklin Academy.
