NATCHEZ — Services for Thelma Prater Noble, 83, of Natchez, who died Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, in Natchez, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Road with the Rev. Ernest Ford Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. today at the funeral home with a celebration of life wake service at 5:30 p.m.
Visitation will continue from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Noble was born June 18, 1933, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of William Prater and Albertha James.
She was educated through high school and was a private duty nurse. She was a member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess. Her hobbies included her hat collection, shopping, church activities and family gatherings.
Mrs. Noble was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alex Noble Sr.; one great-grandchild; one son-in-law; and a number of aunts and uncles.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Noble and wife, Malachia, and Alex Noble Jr.; two daughters, Janice Green and husband, George, and Doris Hargrave; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives and friends.
