Landrae Jones’ 26-yard touchdown run in the first quarter was the only highlight for Sicily Island as the Tigers were crushed by the Oak Grove Tigers 47-6 Friday night in LHSAA District 2-1A action.

Sicily Island was held to just 61 yards of total offense — all on the ground.

Sicily Island (0-4, 0-2) hosts Delhi Charter next Friday at 7 p.m.

Rayville 34, Block 6
The Rayville High School Hornets scored all of their points in the first half en route to a 34-6 win over the Block High School Bears Friday night.

Block trailed Rayville 34-0 at halftime before finally scoring its lone touchdown in the third quarter.

Block (0-5) opens up LHSAA District 3-1A play at 7 p.m. next Friday when it hosts LaSale High School.
