WOODVILLE — Services for Mary Flowers Carter, 99, who died peacefully Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Woodville Baptist Church with the Dr. Dennis Johnsey officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Miss Mary (as she was affectionately called) was preceded in death by her husband, Elwyn Carter; her parents, Larry Flowers and Claudia Trevillion Flowers; two sisters, Adris DaQuilla and Ruth Welch; and two brothers, Larry Flowers and Earnest Flowers.

Survivors include two daughters, Claudia Reed and husband, W.C., of Woodville and Connie Waters and husband, Charles, of Cupertino, Calif.; four grandchildren, Elwyn Reed of Woodville, Warren Reed of Vicenza, Italy, Frankie Reed of Denver and Steven Waters of Sydney, Australia; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one sister, Vivian Brinson of Kissimmee, Fla.

Pallbearers will be grandson, Steven Waters, grandson-in-law, Dennis Hansen, and great-grandsons, Blane, Colby, Dillon and Alex Reed.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Elwyn Reed and Warren Reed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wilkinson County Christian Academy.
